Have you used the courierauthtest script that is part of the courier-debug package ? This will give feedback like this if it is not working: imap-mail:/home/staff# courierauthtest useradmin2 useradmin2 Temporary authentication failure from module authdaemon Authentication FAILED! imap-mail:/home/staff# courierauthtest tester1 tester1 Temporary authentication failure from module authdaemon Authentication FAILED!
