Hello, My RH7.2 system is running with Bill Shupp's toaster install. I compiled with the following options:
--- Vpopmail compile options: ./configure --enable-roaming-users=y --enable-clear-passwd=n --enable-hardqu ota=100000000 --enable-default-domain=systemsaligned.com --enable-passwd=y - -enable-relay-clear-minutes=60 --enable-mysql=n --enable-ldap=n --enable-or acle=n --enable-sybase=n vi /service/qmail-smtpd/run change the server to run as vchkpw.vpopmail Courier-IMAP compile options: ./configure --disable-root-check --without-authdaemon --without-authpwd wit hout-authshadow without-authuserdb without-authcram without-authldap wit hout-authmysql without-authpgsql without-authcustom with-authpam --with-a uthvchkpw /etc/pam.d/pop3 and /etc/pam.d/imap: add /lib/security/ in front of each file. --- my /usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/pop3d has "authpam authvchkpw" for both authmodules and authmodules_orig. I want to be able to authenticate both system and virtual users. Virtual users work fine, system users do not. Question: courier should work with the above compile and setup options for _system_ users with just "authvchkpw" in the courier setup files, right? Mine doesn't. but vpop does authenticate smtp auth okay. it's just courier that doesn't work. Problem: /home/vpopmail/etc/open-smtp isn't getting updated. Is this because "authpam" in the courier setup files does not write to /home/vpopmail/etc/open-smtp? Any help would be apperciated. Thanks for your time, Brian. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
