Cyrus continues to give us problems, so we are investigating a move to Courier. I'd like anyone that is aware of any issues or information about the following to let me know what they think. Thanks!
We are running FreeBSD 4.4-RELEASE with Postfix. We would like to install Courier-IMAP via ports, but are willing to manually compile source with important patches if necessary. Any FreeBSD/Courier-IMAP users out there? Questions: * Are there any special considerations when moving from Cyrus to Courier? * How about moving Cyrus mailboxes to Courier? Format? Tools to convert the mailboxes? * We are upgrading our site away from a file-based configuration to MySQL; any issues with Courier? * We were planning on using Web-cyradm to administer Postfix/Cyrus; I assume that the structure that Courier uses with MySQL can be used with Web-cyradm? Anyone tried this one? If not, any other suggestions for web-based configuration of Postfix/Courier virtual domains? * We need pop-before-smtp. Any problems we sure be aware of? And last but not least, are there any plans to add a search tool to the archive for this mailing list!? :) Regards, Dustin --- Dustin Puryear <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> UNIX and Network Consultant http://members.telocity.com/~dpuryear PGP Key available at http://www.us.pgp.net In the beginning the Universe was created.
