Hi folks,

I am an email newbie grasping at straws and gasping for air. (I sent out
a previous plea for help concerning qmail-courier-mysql, but have not
received any responses. I have yet to see any illustrations for
implementing a qmail(smtp)-courier(imap)-mysql(auth) solution using
./Maildir/.)

I have tried, unsuccessfully, using authtest and interactive imap
(telnet 143) as an attempt at trying to observe the authentication
process. I cannot find anything in the mydqld.log, secure, maillog and
messages log files recording failures with authest and imap.

I am also quite unsure as how to simulate a virtual user, using the
single id of the acutal corresponding linux user (a user called
qmailuser in my case), accessing my mysql DB conatining auth info,
perhaps through an interactive mysql session or an interactive auth
session talking to mysql.

Any information would be appreciated. I have been combing online
resources, but fail to find the exact relevant info I need. (I have
posted more info in my mail posting of yesterday.)

Thanks
