Hi, a plea for help from a Courier newbie.

I've just installed the courier mail system (on Linux),
with the intent to download all my email into IMAP, rather
than downloading it directly into an MUA (e.g. KMail)[1].

- From what I can gather, a sensible way of doing this is to
use fetchmail to get my email from various POP3 servers,
then filter the email through maildrop so that mailing lists
etc go into the correct IMAP folders.

However, I'm stumbling at the configuration stage of things.
I've installed the complete Courier mail system, and have
the IMAP server running fine with a single virtual user. I
can connect via KMail, look at empty folders, and create and
delete folders.

Courier is installed in /opt/courier, with virtual folders
currently going into /opt/courier/mail.

I haven't managed to get any mail from a pop server into Courier
however, and it's difficult to see whether the problem is on
the fetchmail, maildrop or imap side. I'm not even sure whether
my overall plan is valid or not.

Is there any documentation on setting up this sort of system?
I haven't found the standard installation guide and man pages
much help in this regard. I did start writing specific questions,
but I realised I have a lot of them, so a plea for general
documentation and/or examples might save everyone's time.

Thanks for any help.

[1] Downloading directly into KMail is great when I'm at home,
but I'd like to have access from multiple machines, some of them
only with ssh text interfaces. For this, sticking the mail into
a central server becomes useful.
