new to courier, yes. Quite a complicated system. but I'm having problem
getting past square one.
we have installed coureir on freebsd4.5 (most recent) using the freebsd
ports directory. everything seems to be setup properly but when we run
'courier start'
the daemon runs but gives us the following error in the /var/log/maillog
file
Jun 3 15:05:06 klaatu courierd: Permission denied
Jun 3 15:05:06 klaatu courierd: ABNORMAL TERMINATION, exit status: 1
Jun 3 15:05:06 klaatu courierd: ABNORMAL TERMINATION, exit status: 1
Jun 3 15:05:06 klaatu courierd: Will restart in 60 seconds.
we've tryined everything including permissions on the relevant executable
but to no avail.
I've seen reference to this problem in one or two other mailings lists
but never with a followup solution.
any help would be greatly appreciated
