Hello,

It's the first time I've installed courier, I did it on a slackware 8.0
machine.

I turned off most of the extra options at compile time. Mostly auth stuff.
Like authmysql, authpgsql, authuserdb.

When I do a clean install, I start courier (/usr/lib/courier/sbin/courier
start I believe). And I look in the logs, it doesn't show anything about
not binding to a port, but when I look in netstat, it isn't bound to a port
and I can get into the port... I took a look in the faq, i have authdaemon
running. I tried even compiling without authdaemon, and it still won't run..

I was following the install instructions as close as possible. It didn't
show anything about configing courier. Is there anything simple I'm
skipping.

I do hope I get it running, I'm tired of sendmail/gpop3d. The flexibility
in terms of domain names is what I'm looking for in specific. Hope courier
lives up to its name.

Thanks,
jh
