I am trying to set up a courier imap server with ldap lookup and im
having trouble setting it up, this is what i tried so far:
Created an ldap entry like this:
dn: cn=Diego De Fuentes, ou=Mail, dc=simer, dc=com
userid: dfuentes
cn: Diego
sn: De Fuentes
objectclass: top
objectclass: person
objectclass: account
objectclass: CourierMailAccount
mail: dfuentes@localhost
homeDirectory: /home/dfuentes
uidNumber: 501
gidNumber: 501
loginShell: /bin/bash
ou: Mail
ou: Staff
userpassword: xxxxxx
clearPassword: xxxxx
mailbox: /home/dfuentes/Maildir-dfuentes
And editted the authldaprc file like this:
LDAP_SERVER localhost
LDAP_PORT 389
LDAP_BASEDN dc=simer, dc=com
LDAP_BINDDN cn=root,dc=simer,dc=com
LDAP_BINDPW xxxxxxxxxxx
---------I am having trouble figuring out to what this next parameter
refers to, is it my ou or what?--------
LDAP_MAIL Mail

LDAP_FILTER (objectClass=CourierMailAccount)
LDAP_HOMEDIR homeDirectory
LDAP_MAILDIR mailbox

LDAP_DEREF never
----- I think this next parameter conflicts with LDAP_MAIL but im not
sure---------
LDAP_EMAILMAP_BASEDN ou=Mail,dc=simer,dc=com
