I posted these questions to usenet not even thinking about the fact that they
weren't going to make it to the list soooo....

I am using userdb for authentication and imap and pop3 are working but
authenticated smtp relaying isn't working. I am using the systempw
variable in the userdb file and the following are what I believe to be
the relevant entries in the esmtpd config file here:

# To enable authenticated SMTP relaying, uncomment AUTHMODULES,
# and set ESMTPAUTH to ESMTP authentication mechanisms we support.
Currently

I've seen people ask this question before but I haven't seen a solid
answer (or at least not one that fixes my situation). Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

In addition to the problem I'm having with authenticated relaying I've
run into another oddity with deleted messages not being moved into the
Trash. I tried setting IMAP_MOVE_EXPUNGE_TO_TRASH to 1 and restarting
imapd but it still isn't working. I am using OE 5.5. The accounts I
have on a v0.32 server are working (purged mails get put in the Trash)
but the new v0.38.2 accounts are the ones that aren't working. I
don't know if this is a coincidence but I thought it might be worth
mentioning. Thanks.
