I have been trying to follow the threads in this list about sending errors, but I have found no solution.
I am using courier-imap 1.4.6.20020613 and qmail as the mta. I have tested qmail as thoroughly as I can, and it sends and receives mail as expected. (I'm using Dave Sill's book on qmail and tried all the tests.) I set up courier-imap with SSL and I log in under imapd and I cvan read my e-mail just fine, but when I try to send e-mail while logged on through imap SSL I get the error message: Error while 'Sending "Mail_message_Subject"' RCPT TO response error: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable: mail not sent If I send the same message manually under qmail it goes. If I log on locally and use pine, the same message goes with no error. I'm new to courier-imap and ssl, so some things remain a mystery to me. In authdaemonrc I set: authmodulelist="authcustom authcram authpam" and in /etc/services I have: imaps 993/tcp # IMAP over SSL imaps 993/udp # IMAP over SSL Any clues to help track down the error (probably my setup), would be greatly appreciated. Is an upgrade to 1.5.0 warranted?
