Quoting bpsingh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

 | Sir,
 |
 | I have to build a set up using postfix+courier-imap+openldap2.0 for
 | giving e-mail facility to already existing users(passwd file).I have got
 | three domains:
 |
 | del1.vsnl.net.in
 | del2.vsnl.nst.in
 | del3.vsnl.net.in
 |
 | I want to have a single machine for providing e-mail services to all the
 | three domains.
 |
 | I have openldap 2.0 doing radius auth.
 |
 | i have follwoing structure in ldap:
 | uid=bps,ou=del1,o=vsnl.net.in
 | uid=bps,ou=del2,o=vsnl.net.in
 |
 | As far as postfix is concerned,it can deliver mail to a mailbox which
 | can be diffrent than uid.
 |
 | such as postfix will deliver mail for [EMAIL PROTECTED] to bps_del1
 | and similarly for [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 | to bps_del2.
 |
 | My problem is when bps user of del1.vsnl.net .in want to fetch its
 | mail, how does courier imap is going to find out the mail box for this
 | user.

AFAIK, with:

LDAP_HOMEDIR homeDirectory

in the AUTHLDAPRC configuration file and of course, by having it defined
in you directory for each user. You will also have to have a unique
way to distinguish between [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]
that from the example will probably be the mail attribute also assigned
in AUTHLDAPRC:

LDAP_MAIL mail

and optionally can be combined with

#LDAP_FILTER [attribute=value]

to find the correct user information. The above two will be combined in
an (& filter.

I hope this helps,

ed
