The courier esmtp daemon on my server takes over a minute after connecting to respond with the login banner. Based on info I found in the archives I added the following in /usr/lib/courier/etc/esmtpd
TCPDOPTS="-noidentlookup -stderrlogger=/usr/lib/courier/sbin/logger -nodnslookup" However connecting to port 25 still is VERY slow. Other services respond immediately. Any ideas?
