Hi there courier gurus :) I have been trying to get courier to authenticate against an openldap2.0.23-6 directory server and have come across a problem that is stumping me.
I am using debian woody and have installed the courier-imap and courier-ldap packages and configured authldap and authdaemonrc. I have added the schema extension to my slapd.conf and added the objectClass to a user I am using to test with. My problem is this :- When I try to authenticate I get........... Connected to foo.foo.com Escape character is '^]'. * OK Courier-IMAP ready. Copyright 1998-2002 Double Precision, Inc. See COPYING for distribution information. 1 login [EMAIL PROTECTED] letmein 1 NO Login failed. The mail logs are not very verbose and give not a hint at what might be wrong. I have sniffed the network traffic and courier binds to the directory, performs a search for the user and get passed back all the right attribuutes....... attrs: homeDirectory mailBox cn clearPassword mail I have opened up the permissions on the users home directory (just in case that was at fault) and still no joy. I am now starting to get a little frustrated!!! Has anyone came across this before?? and can anyone help me please ??
