Hmmm.  Good question.  Probably because I've always done it this way and
I always thought it was a better practice to keep my Maildirs separate.
However, I see your point.  By moving all of the other Maildirs under my
primary Maildir (and adjusting my corresponding .qmail-mailing-list
files), I can then use Courier IMAP to access everything.  Thank you for
the suggestion.  I'm off to install Courier IMAP!
