hi,
i am using a postfix+courier+mysql combination with multible virtual
domains.
i am wondering about what might be the best uid/gid sheme
at the moment mailboxdirs per user have the following permissions:
700 uid gid
where uid is incremented per user (starting eg. at 5000) and gid
keeps the same 4 all mailboxdirs.
IMHO the only cause for using different per user uid's is to prevent
someone who is infiltrating the
pop3d from having access to other mailboxes than the one on which
uid's he(pop3) currently is.
Could you please let me know if there are other reasons for using
different uid/gids ?
