I know how to create maildir now. I 'su' to test1 then did './maildirmake
$HOME/testdir'. I wonder that means Unix accont test1 has a maildir testdir.
What else should I do to link 'testdir' and 'test1', sot that user test1's
mail box is 'testdir'? Can you give me an exmaple?

Thanks a lot,

Su

e users --OH OH!

Thank you so much Sam! Now I know my problems.

I am trying to use Courier IMAP instead of Cyrus IMAP, because I think I can
get better performance. Cyrus has an admin tool to create users, that's why
I am asking. Anyways...

You got me there. I don't know much of maildir. Do I need to install
maildir? Can you have me an example of how to link a user(e.g. Unix user)
and his/her maildir and home directory?

I tried to search in the web. But I don't know where to get maildir and how
to use it.

Please forgive me for asking so many silly questions.

Really appreciate your help.

Su

Correct.

Red Hat uses PAM.

Furthermore, had you followed the instructions in INSTALL, you would've
built binary RPMs that correctly set everything up.

And did you create the Maildir for this user? You know what maildirs are,
right?

What "admin tool" do you require to insert a row into a pgsql table, and
then create the corresponding home directory, and maildir?
