Hi all.. I've compiled courier with these options.. -without-authpam -without-authldap -without-authpwd -without-authmysql -without-authpgsql -without-authshadow -withou-authdaemon -without-authuserdb -without-authcram -without-authchkpw
./configure make make check make install make install-configure works fine.. I've defined my local domain in /usr/lib/courier/etc/locals, then ran the "makealiases" command. Started courier, esmtpd, imapd & pop3d. ports 25, 110 & 143 open. When connecting to smtp, pop3 or imap via mail client (used outlook express), says password rejected. When connecting to port 25 via telnet, it takes about one minutes to give a response. Tried to send a mail, used Mail from:<user@localdom> Ok Rcpt to :<user@localdom> 550 user unknown note: not using other mail server on this linux box..
