Hello!

Have you tried MS outlook to send mail through Courier ESMTP?
Outlook doesn't obey RFC 821

mail from: <address@doamin>
rcpt to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

commands.
In the case you pick the address from the address list outlook adds some more
info (litter?) to the SMTP commands like:

mail from: "User windows name" <user.name@domain>
rcpt to: "=?iso-8859-2?B?gHgFTFj==?=" <address@domain>

and Courier doesn't accept it.
If you don't use outlook built in address list (and luckily the addresse is
not in the list!) everithing goes fine.

Anything to solve this problem on either side? E.g. on courier side a parser
script to strip the fields or have Courier to ignore chars outside <>, or on
outlook side to disable this habit?

(Don't tell me to use MS exchange.)

(I use Courier-0.39.3 20020910 with mysql auth. virtual users)

Thanks for your help.
