Hello,

Two issues I have. The first is if a user tries logging in, and they
don't have permissions to access a directory, courier-imap logs
chdir: failed, but doesn't return an error message to the user. This
results in the mail client sitting and waiting for a response from
the server that it isn't getting. I'm using
courier-imap-1.5.3.20020916 so it could be possible it may have been
fixed. If not, I believe it may be an idea to return an error, or at
  least return a login failed.

My second issue I posted about a couple of weeks ago. I have both
imapd, and pop3d authenticating via authdaemond. I have authdaemond
setup to use authshadow. IMAP can authenticate fine, but when
trying to login to POP3 with the same username/password (or any
username/pass for that matter) it always fails. The log messages
just return 'login failed'. The configuration files are default
except for authdaemonrc which says authshadow. The configure line
  is as follows:

./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/courier --prefix=/usr/local/courier-imap
--with-authshadow --without-authmysql --without-authldap
--without-authpam --without-authpgsql --with-mailuser=courier
--with-authchangepwdir=/usr/local/courier-imap/libexec/authlib
--with-db=gdbm --with-userdb=/etc/userdb
--with-makedatprog='/usr/local/courier-imap/libexec/makedatprog'
--without-socks --with-authchangepwdir=/var/tmp/dev/null

Anybody got *any* hints or clues? I posted this on Oct 5th, but
cannot find it in the archives.
