I was trying to install Courier-imap (cause I use Postfix with
Maildir) and was having a devil of a time. I've followed the install
and other HOWTOs to the letter for this install and have not ever gotten
it to work. After successful ./configure; make; make check; su root;
umask 022; make install-strip; make install-configure there are two
problems. Courier used the directory I specified for --sbindir as a
--bindir, and my --bindir as --bindir, odd. The real problem is that
pop3d won't start, simply prints AUTHFAILURE to the terminal, then
exits. man, and Google have not been helpful, any other ideas?
