Hello, I have qmail+ldap on a server, I use courier-imap for imap and pop3, but I have a problem with outlook express imap client. Courier-imap is compiled with the option for Netscape bug, it's ok in Netscape, but I have bugs in outlook. When I read a new mail, it seems to go to read state, but on the server, the file does not change it status. So, with a "send/receive", the read mail goes back to unread state. It's the same for deleted mail. If I change folder and come back to inbox, then, when I read or delete a mail, it's ok, and the file state change on the server.
What can I do to solve this problem ? For the version, I use OE6 and Courier-imap 1.4.5 (09 May 2002) on redhat 7.3. Courier-imap was compiled with --enable-workarounds-for-imapclient-bugs option, that seems to correct netscape bug, but not OE bug. I tried too, the IDLE keyword for IMAP_CAPABILITY, that is said to be in experimental mode. The problem change a little : Yes it's ok for the delivery but outlook gives error dialogue box that says the connection has been closed because of server problem. But now I can read the mail and it goes to "read" state. And for Netscape, it freezes the application...
