Hi.

I think my courier-imap server seem to run quite slow when there are many
connections. I would like to run multiple courier-imap servers on different
machines. The users ~/Maildir is located over NFS.

To start with I like to set up two courier-imap servers on two different
computers that both mounts the users homedirs (~/Maildir) over NFS, will this
be safe?

Question: May there be fatal problems if the user runs one mail-client against
imap-server (e g KMail/Pine/Mozilla) no 1 and at the same time run another
mail-client against imap-server no 2 (e g SquirrelMail)? Maybe the both
imap-servers will try to write to the same files at the same time and there
will be problems?

In my case I like to have one courier-imap/SSL-server for the normal
mailclients and one courier-imap-server on the same box as I run SquirrelMail
webbmail-server.

Thanks for any hints on this!
