Subject: [courier-users] Telneting to Courier-IMAP

I have installed a combination of Postfix/MySQL/Courier-IMAP, and have
finally got Postfix/MySQL working. Courier-IMAP is still giving me
problems.
I can't seem to connect properly, or it won't accept my commands or
something. Here's what a telnet localhost 143 outputs:
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to mail.foo.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
INFO: LOGIN, user=user, ip=[127.0.0.1]
* PREAUTH Ready.
? LOGIN user password
?, NO Error in IMAP command received by server.

Anything I try gives an error, as seen on the last line. The problem is
that I don't know how to troubleshoot it. How can I monitor what
Courier-IMAP does when I connect to port 143? Any logs? Command utils?
Or do you perhaps know what's wrong already?

Thanks,

CJ Kihlbom
