I just realised that the same thing probably applies to -maxprocs and
-maxperip, i.e. it would be nice to give a useful message when these limits
are exceeded too.
It might be simplest just to combine the error message in the same argument:
e.g.
-maxperip="4 -ERR Too many connections from your IP address"
That would be backwards-compatible (atoi doesn't care about trailing garbage
after a number).
If anyone's interested I might knock this together.
