[courier-users] Login to server failed

Dear List,

I know I've probably done something not quite right, but I can't login to the courier-imap server I just setup. The response I get is "Login to server <mailserver> failed". The message in /var/log/messages is:

imap(pam_unix)[2361]: authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost= user=warren

From a different machine I am using Mozilla 1.3a for Linux as the imap client.

The server is RH Linux 7.2. I am using qmail 1.03 for POP3 and SMTP and that part is working well. I used the following line when running the configure script.

./configure --without-authdaemon --without-authldap --without-authmysql

I modified the /usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/imapd AUTHMODULES line to read AUTHMODULES="authpam".
