The first line is *mbx* and then the second line is some kind of serial
number or hash of the file or something like that (a file with size 8791
has the second line "3d7f750300000007").  Then there is a bunch of blank
space and then the messages are just listed out in the file, starting with
the date/timestamp of the message along with some other numbers.  Here's an
example message (I put the >'s in there to indicate where the message is,
they don't show up in the file):
