To be sure the changes you have made in rfc2047_encode_callback would fix
an issue I, and it appears others have seen with imapd entering an
infinite loop when a 0xa0 character would be in the header of a message, I
created a patch for rfc2047.c and rfc2047.h based upon
courier-imap-20021223 and applied it to the build of courier-imap-1.5.1.

I have installed the newly built package of courier-imap-1.5.1 and can
confirm the issue with respect to the infinte loop appears to now be
resolved as the message is now displayed.

Suffice to say, the release of courier-imap-1.6.2 should resolve this
issue on OpenBSD.
