Before yesterday, I had qmail and courier-imap (1.5.3) working with
Netscape Mail 7.01. courier-imap was compiled without the
enable-workarounds-for-imap-client-bugs.
Yesterday, I lost a hard-drive. I reinstalled qmail and courier-imap
and recovered all my Maildirs. My previously configured shared Maildirs
and folders were still in tact as they were on a different drive. I
used courier's maildirmake --add to restore the shared folder settings.
This is when weird things started happening:
On two different clients, the shared folders are visible, but some of
them show up empty... others have mail items in them, but when I clicked
on an item, the content show up as empty. When I look at the contents
of the shared folders on the server, everything is in tact. However,
when I look in the shared-folders directory under my Maildir, there's a
directory structure for only one of the folders -- there are four
entries in my shared-maildirs file.
I thought that maybe my Netscape install was out of synch so I
uninstalled and reinstalled... immediately after setting up a new
account, I can see the shared folders, but they're all empty.
My imapd configuration uses all defaults except for the following:
IMAP_CHECK_ALL_FOLDERS=1
IMAPDSTART=YES
If anyone has any suggestions as to what I've missed or done wrong, I'd
be most grateful.
