% netstat -na | grep 'LISTEN'
Did it BUILD with SSL support?
Here's what works for me (implied --prefix=/usr/local):
/usr/local/libexec/imapd.rc start
/usr/local/libexec/imapd-ssl.rc start
It seems that you need both.
You have the .pem files all set up, yes?

Ah... What's in /usr/local/share/imapd.pem?
Have you run /usr/local/share/mkimapdcert yet?
