I have some questions. First off, my Courier Log file is reflecting a ton

Clean out the crap in /usr/lib/courier/var/msgs and msgq.
You probably did a backup and restore of your queue directory. Shouldn't do
that.
Also, I have planetside-univers.net setup on this same box. When I try and
send from it smtp fails and i recieve this log entry:

Verify your DNS setup. Check your DNS server's IP address in
/etc/resolv.conf
