I am using Courier IMAP as the IMAP server and pop server. Now
the pop/imap log is recorded under /var/log/maillog.
The format of the log looks like:
Jan 24 00:11:24 xx.actrix.co.nz pop3d: LOGOUT, user=nnelvision, ip=[xx.xx.xx.xx]
, top=1267, retr=0
Jan 24 00:11:25 xx.actrix.co.nz pop3d: LOGOUT, user=andt, ip=[xx.xx.xx.xx]
, top=0, retr=14374
I guess the field of "retr=14374" is the total bytes the user get from the pop server. Don't
know what is the field "top=x" means.
The same as the IMAP log:
Jan 24 00:13:30 xx.actrix.co.nz imapd: LOGOUT, user=kinvoke, ip=[xx.xx.xx.xx]
, headers=3264, body=0
I don't know what the field "header=xxx" and "body=xxx" mean.
I did not find any document explain that.
Does anyone can help?
