Hi, is Courier-MTA going to host any program, similar to couriermlm but for newsletters rather than mailing lists?
On a newsletter, we want the recipient to be able to unsubscribe with one click and we don't want replies to go to the list. But handling subscriptions and bounces just the way couriermlm does it is fine. To disable regular mailing list posting, it should be enough to omit .courier. Should I somehow also limit courier-default to only handle bounce and subscribe requests? (I could use Anand's wrapper.) For the one-click-unsubscribe feature, I need to run each message through a sed "s/@@RECIPIENT@@/$RECIPIENT/g" sort of thing. So I cannot post with couriermlm. What will then happen with bounces? Otherwise, I might post with couriermlm and replace BINDIR/sendmail with a stub that recognizes it is sending a newsletter and replaces the body, also enforcing recipient's plain text vs. html preferences. Did anybody try that hack? Searching the web with "newsletter" as a keyword is frustrating, so I haven't been able to find an open source software that does the job. Commercial software is easy to find, since they advertize. But I wouldn't install a low-quality black-box software. Any hints? TIA for any response, and thank you for your attention anyway Ale ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
