Hello,

I have a qmail+vpopmail+courier imap 1.3.10 server running on Solaris 8. I wanted to upgrade courier to last version, so
I downloaded version 1.7, configured with no problems:

./configure --with-db=gdbm --prefix=/export/home/vpopmail/courier17 --without-authldap --without-authdb --with-authvchkpw --with-mailuser=vpopmail

but when compiling I get:

Compiling authvchkpw.c
authvchkpw.c: In function `auth_vchkpw_changepass':
authvchkpw.c:142: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
[...]

As root:

chmod -R 755 /home/vpopmail/lib
Before you act on an urge to reply to something, try to actually read what you're replying to, and understand it. How does changing a permission on a an external, comlpetely unrelated, file will have any bearing on a compilation failure?

This has nothing to do with permissions on any file. His vpopmail library is ancient, and needs to be upgraded.
