Greetings,

I'm trying to get the whole courier-mta suite. I have everything
installed and configured, but I'm missing something because the
authuserdb doesn't seem to be correct. If I do a test message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], I get a user unknown and if I try
to

pop the account, again I get a user unknown. I believe the problem to
be with the authdaemon because each of the esmtpd, imapd and pop3d
referece the authdaemon and they are all not finding the users.

Jason,

have you created "locals" or "hosteddomains" with the domain name
"industry.synchrosounds.com"?
Hi Patrick,

I am using hosteddomains. industry.synchrosounds.com is in hosteddomains and I have run makehosteddomains so the .dat file is in place aswell.

Depending on which of these you have used, your entry in the userdb will
need to be created differently.

If you used "locals", then the user in userdb is simply "jason". If you
used "hosteddomains" then the user in userdb must be
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]".
Since I am not using locals, but hosteddomains, the entry in userdb should be as it is, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

And, don't forget about "esmtpacceptmailfor".
[root@industry courier]# more esmtpacceptmailfor
synchrosounds.com
.synchrosounds.com
andromedas.com
.andromedas.com

Regards,
Patrick.
