Hello,

I'm routing suspected spam to a separate "graymail" area on my imap
server. I want to run a second imapd-ssl server on a non-standard port,
so that people can check for false positives, etc., via a webmail server
that connects via the non-standard port.

Is there a documented way to start up a second server? Can I just make
copies of a couple of the configuration files and scripts and modify
them? Or do I need to do a second installation into a separate
directory tree?

That depends on what you want to do. If all you want is the same server listening on the second port, just modify the imapd configuration file.

If you want a different configuration for the second server (different mailboxes), you should rebuild the server and use a different --prefix setting to the configure script.
