Synopsis: How do you get Courier-IMAP to restrict access to a shared folder, preferabily based on UNIX group membership?
Detail: I'm running Courier-IMAP 1.4.6 on Solaris 8, and have a global shared Maildir that is world-readable. Under this Maildir, I wish to create a folder that is readable only by a set group of users, which is delimited by the Unix group 'haxors'. Is this possible, or is there another mechanism that I can use to limit access to this shared folder to only a set list of users? I haven't found anything in the Courier documentation, or anything useful from a few hours' worth of googling, so I know as soon as I post this, the answer will become obvious (the hang-your-ass-out-on-the-Net troubleshooting method). Please CC any replies to my listed address (google AT agentsix DOT net).
