Hello, I am using the Courier MTA with its associated Esmtp and POP3 modules. My users can send mail internally fine, but all external mail is deffered with an error "no route to host". If I run the testmxlookup scritp is will find the MX records needed for delivery, but the messages stay que'ed. I have reviewed all teh cfg files and associated man pages, is there something I am missing, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Take one of the IP addresses shown by testmxlookup, and try to telnet to their port 25. If you find that your connection attempt fails, then just take it up with your network administrator.

The other possibility is that your platform's IPv6 stack is broken. Reconfigure using --without-ipv6
