This directory actually comes from GNU gettext. Preferrably, it's gettext that needs to be fixed. Any changes that I apply will have to be reapplied whenever I refresh to a new version of gettext.

Ahh... Okay. I've sent the gettext patch to an appropriate person (hopefully) who was listed on gnu.org's gettext project pages.

Again, so that you can also apply this patch (if you wish) before it makes its way into the gettext source distribution, I have included a minimally modified version of the gettext patch which is appropriate to the file paths in the courier distribution instead.

I believe both patches should be able to be applied properly from the top level of the courier source distribution by simply supplying the option "-p0" to the patch command.
