Yes, I have been able to use fetchmail to transfer Notes/Domino email to a Courier-IMAP server. It works for "regular" email, but there are some difficulties. For example, forget about Lotus-encrypted secure mail, it can't be unencrypted. Also, of course email regarding collaborations like meetings won't work as expected. In addition, on a busy Domino server the IMAP fetchmail was very slow (literally minutes) for a mailbox with more than 800 items in the various folders, even though it only was actually retrieving a few emails each time. This all assumes that the Domino account was set up for IMAP in the first place.
I have not thought much about what would happen to the Lotus Notes email archives, since these do not usually reside on the server. You may well need the Notes client to access the emails saved in these archives, since I think the format is proprietary. Perhaps you can restore from the archive file to the server, but I have had no need for that. I should say that I have only done this for individual accounts, not for a mass conversion. So proceed at your own risk. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
