During configure I see the following: checking for structs in6_addr, sockaddr_in6, and sockaddr_storage... yes checking for IPv6 flavor... unknown
IPv6 is in a state of flux, somewhat. There are at least two different IPv6 structures and definitions in use, and the configure script didn't find either one.
I see that Sourceforge has a Solaris 8 box; I might be able to do some poking and figure something out, later...
