First, I'm having trouble getting pine to do esmtp authentication for roaming users. I'm configuring smtp-server in pine as: emailserver.my.domain/ssl/user=ehle/novalidate-cert also tried it w/out ssl
While this seems to work for some locations, it doesn't at others. (and I can't seem to send at all from home) This might not be a courier issue at all, but any insight would still be great.
Look for a misconfigured firewall, somewhere.
Which leads me to the second issue. Mozilla seems to be doing the smtp auth, And I can send from home where pine won't - havn't tried it at all
Also verify whether pine can actually handle any of the advertized SASL authentication methods.

This was a known bug in older version of Mozilla, that should be fixed now.
