Excellent question Vladmir! I've been wondering that too... but I'll take it one step further.
I would like to determine the address of connection as a part of this query as well... i.e. the Server IP connected to. For us, we bill based on traffic, but if an IMAP or SMTP client is connecting to the wrong IP (not their own) then someone else would get billed. I've been ignoring the problem, but if it's a patch that's needed, it would be in the same area of the code I think. m/ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Vladimír Třebický Sent: Sunday, March 16, 2003 2:24 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [courier-users] POP3, IMAP and SSL distinction in authmysql Hi, is there any way to distint whether to accept an authentication based on e.g.: MYSQL_WHERE_CLAUSE this_user_pays_for='$(kind_of_service)' where $(kind_of_service) could be for example 'pop3' or 'imap' depending on which service is calling this authmysql routine? Or is there any other way to accept user connections in authmysql depending on type of service (POP3, IMAP, SSL, non-SSL) and on which of these service the user pays for? --- Odchozí zpráva možná neobsahuje viry.
