Hello,
is there any safe way how to move maildirs with messages from one
partition to another??
I have courier-mta happily running but now I need to move all maildirs
(including messages in them) from one system to another - is there some
script/description how to accomplish this? Moreover I am moving the data
from ext3 to xfs filesystem (which I hope should not matter in the process).
I tried (just for test) to copy maildirs with messages onto another
partition and after that no messages were delivered (even after
restarting courier). I understand, that the naming of the message files
in maildirs is somehow connected to inode numers (or so...) so plain `mv
/old/path/maildir /new/path/maildir` across partitions (filesystems)
doesn't work.
Any hints how to do this?
Thank you
Marek Pasovsky
