i think i found a solution. I set up a mailfilter with sqwebmail for the catch-all mail account like
##Op:contains ##Header:To ##Value:joejones ##Folder:.Trash ##From: ##PlainString ##Name:joejones
if ((/^To:.*joejones/)) { to "./Maildir/.Trash/." }
This keeps me from seeing the messages and they are hopefully auto-deleted after 3 days according to the setting in sqwebmail.
Well, they are autodeleted only as long as someone logs in to the account, every once in a while.
