Greetings courier-users,

I am unable to get the filtering capabilities of maildrop to work. I am using
the courier 0.37.3 smtp server with

DEFAULTDELIVERY="| /usr/bin/maildrop"

in the file /etc/courier/courierd. Also, I have only virtual user accounts and
authmysql authentication. Each virtual user's maildir are located in
/home/allmail. Standard mail delivery without filtering works fine.

I have tried /etc/courier/maildroprc, /home/allmail/.mailfilter and
/home/allmail/username/.mailfilter files, but it seems that they are never
accessed by maildrop. I have checked this with
ls -l --time=access /etc/courier/maildroprc

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Since maildrop is run without any
filename arguments, it says in the documentation that it is in delivery mode,
and that it should use /etc/courier/maildroprc. I have tried different
permissions and ownerships on /etc/courier/maildroprc:

daemon.daemon   -rw------
daemon.daemon   -rw-r--r--
root.root               -rw-r--r--
root.root               -rw-------

        Torquil Macdonald
