First - per the suggestion - notify the originator(s), who is/are probably using older and more-broken-than-most version(s) of Microsoft Outlook or OE that should be upgraded to the less-broken newer versions - or replaced with a proper mail client that doesn't create *WRONG* message headers. ELSE Your note came from a server that appears to be running Qmail, and Apache on Linux, so am not sure if this fits your situation 100%, but should be close to what works in FreeBSD: (as root & w/o the quotes) "sh /etc/rc.d/courier.sh stop <Newline>" Followed by: "mv /etc/rc.d/courier.sh //etc/rc.d/courier.sh.onhold" Which guarantees that no further improperly formatted mail will be passed. Or any other kind. Followed by migrating your user base to a public email service, such as MSN, Yahoo, or hotmail that don't mind this sort of error, but commit far worse atrocities in re attaching static or dynamic spam adverts. courier doesn't traffic in garbage. It is as standards-compliant an MTA as can be found. And the standards DO matter if we want to continue to enjoy globally transmissable email. Regards, Bill Hacker -- ----------------------------------------------------------- [EMAIL PROTECTED] While a computer virus can be aggravating to the point of illness, it is not *otherwise* transmissable to or from humans or animals. - This oversight will be corrected in the next Windows release. - -------------------------------------------------------------- >CORRUPTED MESSAGE >This is the Courier Mail Server 0.38 on mail.laredonet.net. >I received the following message for delivery to your address. >Unfortunately, the sender's mail software did not properly format the >following message according to Internet mail formatting protocols, and I >can only deliver mail which has been properly formatted according to >Internet standards.
