I've gotten regular users authenticating with PAM - wrote a module to do it.
The problem is in getting virtual users to do it.  All I can find is 
information about using mysql or LDAP, and nothing about using PAM 
for this particular purpose.  For example, with either of those two,
you have an appropriate rc file (authmysqlrc or authldaprc), but if I'm
supposed to use an "authpamrc", google has never heard of the term.
