List Members,
I leading the design team at an ISP, which is looking to completely revamp their email solution from the ground up. They are looking to handle growth from 10,000 to 50,000 users while providing IMAP, POP3, Webmail, Virus Scanning, and Spam Scanning, along with authentication against LDAP.
Would any large scale members of this list be willing to email/speak with me regarding their design philosophy for component selection, backup, redundancy, fail-over, load-balancing, and loading for an email solution of this magnitude or larger in a multiple virtual domain environment?
Please contact me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or 340 774 0024 x318 (AST time zone). If desired by list members, I will post a summary of what I find out.
I'm also looking for people at reference sites with whom I may speak regarding the implementation. My management is looking to get a 'warm-and-fuzzy' feeling that we are coming up with an appropriate design that meets the above criteria, and that it will be a reliable and robust solution. Thus the request for information from people who have already trail-blazed an appropriate solution.
We have to get it right the first time, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Ray Burkholder
