Not *certain* but given that parts of openss* are core modules, AND that there have been recent security upgrades, AND that we had some flakiness with trying to install only the newer openssh/openssl, suggest cvsuping to at least the latest patch level of 4.7 - or (as we have done) 4.8, which is now RELEASE, and a full 'make build*** / makeinstall **** ' cycle..
IOW - I suspect a 'disjoint' somewhere, as we had symptoms of such.
