[courier-users] Authentication - authvchkpw

Hello to all,

I installed Courier-IMAP to use with Squirrel Mail, but they failed to 
work. Squirrel Mail could not login. I setup Eudora to check mail via IMAP 
and it too is receiving authenticating errors. I have also tried logging in 
by hand, but to no avail. So I beleive I have traced the problem back to 
Courier-IMAP not authenticating correctly. It was configured to use 
authvchkpw for authentication (and vchkpwd works correctly via pop so it's 
not that). The AUTHMODULES in /usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/imapd is set to 
"authvchkpw". Any suggestions ? Thanks!
